Gatter & Diehl was contracted to provide premiere level engineering services for Bedford Rural Electric Cooperative’s (BREC) new headquarters located at the Bedford Business Park l in Bedford, PA. After years of serving Bedford County in downtown Bedford, BREC decided it was time for a modernized facility to better serve their clients and employees with a 34,000 sq ft building on a 13.5 acre parcel. Amenities included in the new facility are state-of-the-art training and multipurpose rooms, lucrative board room, private and open offices, conference rooms and a warehouse area that includes eight (8) drive-thru bays for vehicular storage, as well as separate storage areas for equipment and supplies. All of these areas are engineered with highly advanced MEP systems that include a geothermal system with 40 geothermal bores and 29 water source heat pumps, modernized LED lighting system with nearly 400 LED lighting fixtures, emergency power and power distribution system and fire protection.​
