Gatter & Diehl's Daniel Crist Earns EIT Certification

August 26, 2021

Gatter & Diehl is proud to announce that our MEP designer, Daniel Crist, passed his Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination and is now officially an Engineer in Training (EIT). The exam was administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors.

The FE exam is one of two rigorous tests engineers must go through in order to obtain the Professional Engineer (PE) license. The FE exam is roughly six hours long, containing 110 multiple choice questions and is open to anyone with a degree in engineering or a related field.

Daniel is one of our young and up-and-coming designers who started with the firm in 2016 after graduating from Penn State Altoona with a bachelors of science degree in electro-mechanical engineering technology. He is currently responsible for developing plumbing and drainage system specifications to clients for healthcare, educational, senior living and large-scale commercial facilities. His duties include conducting field surveys, evaluations of existing systems, documentation of field conditions, energy efficiency studies and preparation of facility assessment and contract documents.

We congratulate Daniel on this tremendous accomplishment, and we wish him continued success with the firm and in the industry.
